Mendel Trunx Black Steamer Trunk
Item Details
A Mendel Trunx black steamer trunk/wardrobe from the 1930’s. Mendel Trunx wardrobe trunks were made in Cincinnati and these trunks are some of the largest and heaviest ever made and are designed to stand on end for packing or open use. One half of the trunk, usually the right half, is filled with drawers while the other half has clothes hangers, usually a shoe box, and sometimes an ironing board and even a flat iron. This trunk retains some interesting stickers and the leather hand straps to the ends, albeit in very worn condition. The trunk is marked with the triangular metal Mendel tag. No key is present. The trunk will need to be professionally opened.
