Circa 1911 Herschede Moon Face Grandfather Clock

Item Details

A circa 1911 Herschede moon face grandfather clock in mahogany veneer case. The moon face clock has a hand-painted design and turns above chapter ring. The chapter ring is copper over a brass square background decorated with foliate design in relief. The chapter ring features brass numerals and black pierced hands. There are two dials to upper corners that control chimes. There are nine silver tone chimes to the inside and two brass wieghts with a brass and silver tone pendulum. The mahogany veneer cabinet has beveled glass to door and sides with a keyhole to front (key present). It has an arched top and columns to the sides, and is finished with a molded base.

Condition

- to fair. The clock appearance is good. Untested. The case has heavy discoloration to veneer. There are cracks and wear to veneer. Assembly needed.
