A 1997 Ford F150 XLT truck with 24,000 miles, extended cab, and 8 cylinder engine. ‘Motor Trend’ magazine’s ‘Truck of the Year’ pick, the 1997 Ford F-150 topped the U.S. market in sales. The ‘97 Ford F150 had a sleek new look: curvy, aerodynamic design and newly plush styling for the interior. Ford introduced the modular single overhead cam in this model year, and the choice of engines is a 5.4 liter Triton V8 putting out a hefty 235 horsepower. The 97 Ford F-150 also offers a range of configurations: long-bed model as well as a extended-cab supercab, and 4-door. Four-wheel drive made this powerhouse pickup a favorite with the off-road set, as well as a rugged workhorse. The owner used this truck to park his pair of Harley motorcycles. It has not been driven in five years. The owners performed an oil change in July 2014, topped off fluids and inflated all tires to driving levels. The car will need a tune-up upon purchase. The tires have great tread, but may need to be replaced at some point. The owners have included a new battery with two-year warranty from Pep Boys. The interior is in excellent condition. The owner has installed a CD changer for the truck. This is the top of the line truck for this year. Also includes an aluminum box for storage in the back of the pickup. We will include the spare tire, but it needs to be replaced. There is also a ’donut’ spare under the aluminum box.
