A cast bronze statue of a bald eagle in flight. This wonderful statue depicts in amazing detail an intimidating Bald Eagle making a steep banked turn just above a precipice of stone that also serves as its base. This Bald Eagle is wonderfully depicted with its wingspan fully realized, and intricate, subtle, details to the feathers, face, feet and polished beak. The piece is also beautifully patinated by several different techniques to different parts of the bird to bring out the bronze’s hidden colors which only adds to this pieces dynamic and dimension. This piece is engraved and numbered to the back of the rock base ‘Mark Hopkins, 2002 270/650.’
