Joseph Wilhelm Original "S.S. Patroclus" Oil Painting
Item Details
An original ‘S.S. Patroclus’ oil on board painting, signed by Joseph A. Wilhelm, Jr. (Louisiana, 1923-2003). At the age of fifty one, Joseph Wilhelm turned his life-long ship modeling skills to full time painting, resulting in distinctive, realistic nautical art. The S.S. Patroclus is shown maneuvering to dock in Liverpool, during the 1920’s (please see artist’s notes on the reverse side of painting). Painting is finished with an aged, ornate, gold tone frame.

Light damage to frame on interior edge detail.
