A ‘Bridge Restored’ original watercolor on paper is by listed artist Herbert Jacob Gute (Connecticut, 1907-1977). This tranquil scene shows a covered bridge as it spans a countryside creek. There is a lone fisherman casting his line during this early spring setting. The piece is signed by the artist in the lower right hand corner. This detailed watercolor is presented in a distressed wood frame in a two tone stain. The mat is ivory colored.
