Large Chinese Gong

A large Chinese gong. This is a fabulous, ornate traditional piece. The huge bronze bossed gong is suspended by a rope from a large wooden scroll-like piece. That piece rests atop two legs, carved out in the top to hold the resting suspension piece. The legs feature ornate gold colored painted carvings down the legs and to the feet, which curl upward. The gong comes with a cloth-wrapped mallet. This type of gong would traditionally be used in Chinese temples.
