Original Roland Huston Acrylic and Paper on Canvas Collage
Item Details
An original collage by well-regarded Cincinnati painter Roland Huston. Huston was revered as both an academician and painter. He was a teacher from 1987 until 2005, and also famously studied under Paul Chidlaw at the Cincinnati Art Academy; the artist’s relationship with his teacher continued far beyond their years at the Art Academy, however. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 69 and is remembered by many as a solid teacher, artist and friend. The artist has herein used glued paper elements and acrylic paint to produced an absolutely alluring Modernist composition, wherein a simple and Modern aesthetic is produced. The collage looks quite like, or is perhaps a suggestion of, a descending human figure. The painting is unsigned by the artist; however, it was acquired from his sister. Comes to you unframed and awaiting your choice of presentation.
