Pigeon Forge Pottery Bowl, Signed
Item Details
A 1976 Pigeon Forge Pottery cheese crock in a russet matte glaze with oxide speckles and ribbed wheel pattern. The crock is signed by Douglas Ferguson and marked ‘Pigeon Forge’ to the verso. Pigeon Forge Pottery, was started by the Fergusons in 1947 in an old tobacco barn in Tennessee. The pottery closed in 2000 upon Douglas Ferguson’s death, although a fire destroyed the facility in 1957.
