Original Contance McClure Colored Pencil Drawing
Item Details
An original colored pencil drawing on paper by well reputed Art Academy professor Constance McClure (b.1934). The artist has rendered a well-known landmark of Mt. Adams (Cincinnati). The drawing is annotated to the lower right ‘Eden park, Water Work and Magnolia Grove, 10 June 1984,’ a scene very close in proximity to the Krohn Consevatory. The more slender of the two iconic towers is seen through the trees and is rendered very delicately with wonderfully narrow cross hatching. The drawing is additionally very exemplary of the artist’s oeuvre. It is presented in a gilded wooden frame with a crisp white mat to edge, and has been framed with conservation glass to ensure a long life and preservation.
