Muncie Pottery Doubled-Handled Vase
Item Details
A striking Muncie Pottery double-handled vase in a beautiful gloss deep cobalt blue drip glaze over celadon green glaze to the base. The vase is designed in an amphora style with flat-topped handles and a ringed neck. Muncie Pottery started producing art pottery in 1919 as a subsidiary of the German-American Clay Company and closed its doors in 1939. The pottery was known for both high and matte glazed pieces in organic and stylized forms. This vase is one of Muncie Pottery’s unmarked pieces.
