J.W. Hill Hand-Colored Litho from DeKay's "Birds of New York"

An original hand-colored lithographic book plate from ‘Zoology of New York, or the New-York Fauna, Part II, Birds’ by James Ellsworth De Kay, published by J. F. Schreiber in 1844, with illustrations by J.W. Hill and lithography by George Endicott; and Packard, Gavit & Co. New York. This particular plate is exquisite and features Figure 150 a Yellow-Winged Bunting, Figure 151 a Yellow Bird, and Figure 152 a Field Bunting. This incredible piece of ornithological history is presented in a fine wooden frame with stunning veneer, and white bordered mat to edge.
Condition
-their is some mild foxing to the paper, in manner consistent with age.
