This piece is a metal printing plate from offset lithographic print titled, ‘The Cincinnati Nature Center Cardinals’, Plate I, by Cincinnati artist, John A. Ruthven, dated 1970. Ruthven is a naturalist, author, lecturer, and internationally acknowledged master of wildlife art. This graceful gray plate depicts a pair of cardinals sitting on a leafy branch. Companion to lot 132.
