Wonderful Antique Painted Wood Spool Cabinet by George A. Clark

Item Details

A wonderful nineteenth century antique green painted wood spool cabinet with recessed sides by George A. Clark from the Clark Thread Company. Six finger-joined drawers each feature inset oval glass panels and two ebonized handles. Some drawers are divided within, some open. Drawer labels read ‘O.N.T. [Our New Thread],’ ‘George A. Clark,’ ‘Gin White Spools,’ ‘Sole Agent,’ and ‘Spool Cotton.’ Trademark sticker is intact on the back of the cabinet.

Condition

Fine antique condition. One ebonized handle has broken off of its brass stem. Please attend sale preview for personal assessment of this lot.
