Antique Hand-Knotted Persian Rug

Item Details

An antique, hand-knotted Persian rug. Circa early-mid 1800s. Overall, the rug shows a faded tan coloring with red details. The field shows an intricate design, which is surrounded by an inner and outer guardstripe with a main border.

Condition

Corners have rounded. There is some tearing along the edges and small holes to the center of the rug, which is consistent with age and use. Staining is evident and there are two metal staples piercing one side.
