Antique Cut Glass Compote Gold Leaf Decoration
Item Details
An elegant compote with etched design and gilt detailing. Most likely antique, or European origin (possibly Venetian). Features shallow cuts to outside of bowl with gold leaf embellishment; central rose and a laurel-type foliate design. Underside of base has simple repetitive oval design, with gilt edges along top rim of piece and along top of base. Unmarked.
Condition
Some of the gilt decoration has rubbed off, particularly along rim and on bottom of base.

5.5" W x 7.25" H x 3.2" D
Base is about 3.2" in diameter.
