Wedgwood Jasperware Neoclassical Bowl and Queen Elizabeth Box
A pair of beautiful jasperware pieces from Wedgwood. The lidded heart-shaped box honors the jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 1977. The color of the ware is a deep blue, and the white relief decoration shows the profile of the queen, and a banner underneath ‘1952 Silver Jubilee 1977.’ The bowl is of a paler blue, with a delicate relief pattern with a neoclassical scene of beautifully modeled figures and trees. Both pieces have incised ‘Wedgwood’ and ‘Made in England’ to underside.
The lid on the Jubilee box has some spots of discoloration on white areas.
Dimensions of lidded box. Bowl is 2.5" tall and about 4.8" in diameter.
