Original Yunkers Adja Original Lithograph

An original modernist color lithograph by well listed American abstract printmaker and painter Yunkers Adja (1900–1983), who was born in Latvia, specifically in the city of Riga. The artist received the Guggenheim Fellowship in 1949, and produced two series of groundbreaking lithographs at the Tamarind Institute of Lithography entitled "Salt," and "Skies of Venice." The Tamarind Institute is the most revered institution of lithography the world over, and inasmuch as the artist is most certainly revered for his career as a painter, he is also most certainly revered for his work as a printmaker, not only in lithography but also in woodcut. This incredible print is entitled Soprattutto II and is pencil signed by the artist and is numbered in a limited edition 22/50. The artist’s work are in numerous institutional collections all over the world, including The Corcoran, MOMA, La Bibiliotheque Nationale, and The Brooklyn Museum. The print is presented a fine gold toned composite frame with criss crossed brushing, and single white mat to edge.
