A Chinese four-panel screen featuring a court scene of ladies at leisure, painted in black and with stone inlay. These panels each have a dark lacquered frame and ivory-color background. Stone details of dress and objects such as books, fans, and musical instruments also have colored ink detail. Foreground images include pottery, plants, and fruit. A very charming decorative piece.
