Chinese Antique Jade Bird Figurine

A carved Chinese jade bird, carrying in its mouth a bough consisting of darker green fruit and leaves. This stone figure has nicely detailed eyes and feather detailing to sides and tail. The right foot is lifted to rest on what appears to be a stone, while the left stands on the ground. Comes with a dark wooden carved stand in an organic tree trunk shape. Date of origin circa late 19th century.
Condition
Bird has small chips to tip of beak, to bough at left side where twig enters beak, and to bottom left at talons. There is also wear to lower edges of feathers and the underside of base is rough. A few small nicks are scattered elsewhere. The stand is a bit unstable. It is made in two pieces, and the upper portion is not solidly affixed to the lower portion.
Dimensions
Stand is 4.5" tall and about 4" wide.
