An original oil pastel painting by art innovator Tom Lohre. This painting is titled “Fountain XXIX,” a beautiful rendering of Cincinnati’s iconic Tyler Davidson Fountain in rich oils. The method used in creating this painting, which is a reinterpretation of an earlier work, is very similar to that which is carried out by the painting machine invented by Lohre using Lego’s Mindstorm Invention System in 2003. This method of painting claims to make the most of the least. Lohre claims to be the first to have ever painted a spaceship from life; he also painted the eruption of Mt. Saint Helens from life. The painting is presented in an exquisite gilt wood frame.
