Antique Japanese Meiji period Kutani porcelain vase, authenticated with the Watano red mark. This authentic 19th-century export ceramic features a rare light blue ground decorated with a hand-painted crane and peony (Kacho-ga) motif. The long-neck bottle form is accented with traditional iron-red and gold (Kinsai) scrolling. A fine example of late 19th-century Japanese craftsmanship intended for the Western market.
