2'10 x 4'8 Hand-Knotted Persian Seraband Accent Rug

Item Details

This hand-knotted Persian Seraband accent rug dates from the early 20th century. Woven with a wool pile, the ivory central field features an all-over patterned grid of small, repeating boteh motifs in rust-red and blue. A wide, multi-layered border system composed of terracotta red and natural tan geometric guard bands surrounds the inner field. Both ends are finished with distinct, flat-woven kilim skirts displaying horizontal multi-colored stripes and short fringe lines.
