Thea Mamukelashvili was born in Telavi, Georgia in 1979 and graduated from Telavi State University in 2001. In 2010 she moved with her family to the United States and settled in Ohio. A self-taught artist, she began embroidering at 5 years old and now creates fiber artwork using embroidery and felt, as well as expanding her practice to oil and acrylic painting in 2017. Her work has been exhibited in France and Georgia and sold worldwide.
