Rookwood Ash Receivers Advertising "Boss" Butcher's Supply, 1948

A group of three Rookwood ash receivers in a soft brown transparent ‘wine madder’ high gloss glaze, advertising ‘Boss, Chas. G Schmidt, THE Cincinnati Butchers’ Supply Company’. Appropriately, a steer is depicted in low relief on the center of each round tray. The Rookwood flame emblem and the date XLVIII (1948) is imprinted to the bottom of each ash receiver. Great collectibles for Cincinnati fans of Rookwood, considering the city’s meat packing history.
Condition
, to good. No chips, cracks or crazing. One ash tray has crazing in the center.
