A Rookwood Oval Bowl with Scrolled Handles, Mold #2848, 1948
Item Details
A Rookwood oval bowl with scrolled handles and subtly fluted sides. The compote is done in a soft green high gloss glaze and is clearly imprinted with the Rookwood flame emblem, the mold #2848 and the date XLVIII to the bottom. A faint ‘X’ is also at the bottom indicating the piece was pulled from the line, most likely due to two dimples at the bottom of the dish.
Condition
, with no chips, cracks or crazing. There are two raised dimples at the bottom of the dish which do not deter from the overall appearance.
