4'6 x 6'11 Hand-Knotted Turkish Oushak Area Rug
Item Details
This semi-antique Turkish Oushak rug features a bold central diamond medallion in coral red, set against a cream and sage green field. The geometric composition includes stepped outlines and stylized floral motifs within the central medallion, flanked by corner spandrels featuring a distinctive light blue and green grid pattern. The piece is framed by a narrow border of repeating geometric rosettes. Hand-knotted with wool pile, the rug exhibits the soft, muted tones and large-scale patterns characteristic of Anatolian village weavings. It measures approximately 4.5′ × 7′ and displays a low, weathered pile consistent with its mid-century origin.
