This late 20th-century lowboy by Link-Taylor is a faithful Chippendale revival piece crafted from solid mahogany. The chest features a tiered drawer arrangement, with a single wide drawer surmounting three smaller deep drawers, all featuring machine-dovetailed construction. The central lower drawer is positioned above a deeply carved scallop shell pendant on a shaped apron. The piece is supported by four cabriole legs with high-relief acanthus carvings at the knees, terminating in distinctive ball-and-claw feet. Brass batwing escutcheons and bail pulls complete the traditional aesthetic. The interior stamps verify its origin in Lexington, North Carolina, as part of the manufacturer’s premium ‘Heirloom’ solid wood line.
