A Rookwood Ship Paperweight and Round Valet Tray with Ship Image
Item Details
Two fun Rookwood items, a paperweight in the form of a clipper ship and a round valet tray (or ash receiver) with the image of a ships hull in low relief at the center of the tray. The paperweight is in a mossy green matte glaze with the mold number #2792 stamped to the bottom as well as the date XXXVII (1937). The round valet tray is finished in a blue matte glaze and was given as a token at the ‘Cincinnati Life Underwriters Association NLUA Convention, September 1914’ as noted in lettering at the bottom of the piece. Both are stamped appropriately with the Rookwood flame emblem.
Condition
, both are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
