A Rookwood ‘Owl’ bookend or paperweight. The owl sits atop a book, facing the left and finished in a soft brown ‘wine madder’ high gloss glaze. The Rookwood flame emblem is stamped to the bottom as well as the mold #2655 and the date XLVIII (1948). Another owl bookend in a different glaze is offered as item 14CIN213-077.
