This Sears Roebuck & Co. ‘Honor-Bilt’ cedar chest features the iconic Waterfall style of the late Art Deco period. The exterior is adorned with highly decorative book-matched walnut veneers and contrasting wood inlays in a chevron pattern, centering a rich burl walnut panel. The rounded lid opens to a pristine aromatic red cedar interior, complete with its original ‘Forever Yours’ marketing label and a felt-lined automatic rising tray. The chest is supported by a robust, tiered base with characteristic Art Deco stepped molding and a central arched cutout.
