This Colonial Revival chest of drawers is constructed from solid maple and maple veneers, featuring a warm honey-toned finish typical of high-quality late 20th-century American production. The case is designed with a decorative dentil molding along the frieze, situated above a unique top drawer that utilizes a false three-panel front and brass-finished hardware to mimic the appearance of smaller accessory drawers. Below, three full-width drawers provide ample storage, each accented with traditional brass-finished batwing backplates and bail pulls. The piece is supported by classic bracket feet and stabilized by a factory-stapled particle board back, characteristic of mass-produced furniture from this era. A factory-applied ‘spattered’ finish is visible across the top and drawer fronts, intended to provide an antiqued character.
