This comb-back rocking chair is a classic example of Tell City Chair Company’s mid-20th-century Colonial Revival production. Finished in their signature #48 Andover tone, the chair features a wide, shaped headrail supported by seven slender spindles. The chair exhibits scrolled armrests supported by turned spindles and a comfortable saddled seat. The base consists of robust turned legs joined by an H-stretcher, all mounted on smooth-curved rockers. The original factory label remains partially intact on the underside, documenting the piece’s heritage from the Tell City, Indiana workshop.
