Jacobean Revival Turned Leg Walnut Finish Console Table, 20th Century
Item Details
This Jacobean Revival console table features a distinctive trapezoidal top with a warm walnut finish. The apron is ornamented with a series of pierced foliate scrollwork panels and a notched dentil-style molding along the upper rim. It is supported by six slender turned legs with decorative ring-and-ball transitions, all of which are joined by a low-profile scalloped stretcher that follows the geometry of the top. The piece terminates in simple bun feet. Designed for use against a wall or sofa, this table exhibits the eclectic historicism common in American furniture manufacturing during the late 20th century.
