The intricate borders feature a series of geometric guard bands, including a ‘running dog’ pattern and stylized floral motifs. Unlike many contemporary Afghan counterparts, this example exhibits the refined tension and structural consistency typical of the Khorasan region’s weaving traditions. The piece is finished with a natural cotton fringe, showing the characteristic wear of an authentic mid-to-late 20th-century tribal textile.
