Pair of Oak Media Cabinets with Drop-Front Desk Compartments, Late 20th Century
Item Details
This pair of traditional media cabinets is constructed of oak and oak veneers, finished in a honey-toned stain. Each unit features a decorative dentil-molded cornice above an open display area with an arched apron and adjustable shelving. The central section of each cabinet is equipped with a drop-front door that opens to provide a writing surface or concealed storage, while the lower portion consists of a two-door cabinet with recessed arched panels. Integrated cable management holes in the particle board back panels allow for the housing of electronic components. These units represent the popular ‘Country Oak’ aesthetic prevalent in American residential furniture during the late 20th century.
