Heritage Furniture Louis XV Style Carved Pecan Sideboard

Item Details

This French Provincial style sideboard was manufactured by Heritage Furniture, a recognized high-quality American maker of the mid-20th century. Constructed primarily of pecan wood, the piece features a serpentine silhouette with a decorative dark-wood string inlay bordering the top. The facade consists of two large central cupboard doors opening to a single full-width adjustable shelf. Elaborate shallow-carved floral and foliate scrollwork accents the doors, apron, and the tops of the cabriole legs, which end in traditional scroll feet. The doors are fitted with cast brass-toned metal scroll-plate handles. Forensic visual indicators, including the branded manufacturer’s mark and the use of modern mechanical fasteners, identify this as a well-preserved example of mid-century revival cabinetry.
