RCA Victor "New Vista" Solid State Stereo Console, Circa 1969

Item Details

This late 1960s RCA Victor stereo console, Model VMT 33L, represents the peak of integrated home audio furniture from the ‘New Vista’ era. The walnut-finished cabinet features a unique Mediterranean-influenced facade, characterized by center louvered doors and flanking speaker panels accented with turned spindles over a geometric-patterned orange acoustic cloth. The top-loading design allowed for a seamless furniture profile, doubling as a credenza or sideboard. Manufactured in Indianapolis, this solid-state unit was marketed as a fully transistorized high-fidelity system, certified to comply with FCC Part 15 regulations for residential electronic emissions.
