Romweber Louis XV Revival Sideboard, Mid to Late 20th Century

Item Details

This mid to late 20th-century sideboard by the Romweber Furniture Company is a robust interpretation of the Louis XV style, featuring a dramatic serpentine front and refined provincial details. The case is constructed with rich wood veneers, highlighted by cream-painted moldings that trace the scalloped apron and slender cabriole legs. The façade is organized with two long upper drawers embellished with foliate carvings, positioned above a four-door cabinet base. Each cabinet door is anchored by an oversized, ornate starburst-patterned gilt brass escutcheon with an integrated ring pull. The corners are further decorated with ‘fish-scale’ textured carvings on the pilasters.
