Kittinger William & Mary Revival Walnut Triangular Corner Table
Item Details
This triangular walnut corner table, manufactured by the esteemed Kittinger Furniture Company of Buffalo, New York, is an exemplary piece of William & Mary Revival cabinetry. The top is masterfully constructed with a mitered walnut border surrounding a central trefoil-shaped burl walnut inlay. Reflecting the proportions of the late 17th-century William & Mary period, the table is supported by three elegantly turned baluster legs that terminate in small bun feet. Connecting the legs is a highly decorative, pierced apron featuring robust William & Mary scrollwork highlighted by ebonized recessed panels. Retaining its original brass manufacturer’s shield and detailed paper wood-guarantee label on the underside, this piece represents the superior craftsmanship associated with American furniture production of the early to mid-20th century.
