2'11 x 9'10 Hand-Knotted Indian Kazak Carpet Runner

Item Details

his hand-knotted wool runner features a sage green field decorated with a variety of stylized geometric and floral motifs in shades of red, navy, pink, and ivory. Two prominent red bird-like zoomorphic figures flank a central floral column, surrounded by a border of repeating polychrome blossoms. The rug is constructed with a wool pile on a cotton foundation. A paper inventory label on the reverse identifies the piece as a Kazak style, though the technical execution and color palette indicate a late 20th-century Indian origin. The runner is finished with short cream-colored fringes at both ends and secure overcast side cords.
