This architectural dining table was manufactured in January 2010 for Crate and Barrel as part of their contemporary hardwood collection. The piece is characterized by its bold, Brutalist-inspired silhouette, featuring a large rectangular top supported by two massive pedestal bases. Each base is constructed from a meticulously stacked series of horizontal Sheesham wood slats, creating a rhythmic, textured appearance that emphasizes geometric form. The tabletop displays the natural, high-contrast variegation inherent to Indian Rosewood. Original manufacturer labels remain intact on the underside, confirming its production date and compliance with California formaldehyde standards. While the structural integrity of the piece is excellent, the wood surface shows signs of residential use, including surface abrasions and finish wear consistent with its age.
