2'6 x 11'8 Hand-Knotted Turkish Anatolian Carpet Runner
Item Details
This hand-knotted Turkish Anatolian carpet runner features a vibrant apricot-toned field decorated with traditional tribal iconography. The central composition consists of two monumental stepped medallions connected by a vertical axis, flanked by geometric ‘X’ and star-shaped motifs typical of Central Anatolian village weaving. The rug is framed by a narrow charcoal-toned border containing a repetitive geometric saw-tooth pattern. Hand-spun wool construction provides a soft but durable texture, while the natural abrash throughout the field adds visual depth and authenticity to the folk-art design.
