This contemporary Turkish patchwork rug is professionally assembled from vintage fragments of nomadic Kilim weavings, specifically highlighting the ‘Mut Cicim’ style of the Taurus Mountains. The rug features various hand-woven panels characterized by supplementary weft-wrap brocading, which creates the distinctive raised geometric ‘overweft’ patterns. The palette is a curated selection of muted terracotta, sage green, and lavender tones, providing a modern, ‘shabby-chic’ aesthetic while utilizing traditional artisanal components. The reverse is reinforced with a dark textile backing and includes an origin label confirming its handmade Turkish construction.
