G.I. Sellers & Sons Company Kitchen Cabinet Base, No. 480, 1932
Item Details
Manufactured in 1932 by the G.I. Sellers & Sons Company, this kitchen cabinet base is a classic example of Depression-era utility furniture. Finished in its original white enamel with contrasting chrome trim, the unit features two drawers above a spacious two-door cupboard. The piece is topped with a durable porcelain-enamel work surface designed for baking and food preparation. Retaining its original Sellers branding and factory stencils, this ‘No. 480’ model reflects the transition toward streamlined Art Deco influences in American domestic design. Despite visible surface wear and oxidation, the piece remains structurally intact with all original components.
