This Mid Century Modern tall chest was manufactured for or by Leugers Fine Furniture of Cincinnati, Ohio, circa 1960. Constructed with walnut veneers, the chest features a unique tiered drawer design. The upper three drawers are accented with raised picture-frame molding and original black-finished bowtie metal pulls, while the lower two drawers provide a stark, minimalist contrast with a handle-less recessed grip design. The piece is elevated on a classic MCM subframe with four tapered pencil legs. Authentic manufacturer stenciling and the original retailer label remain present, providing excellent provenance for this regional American piece. While the structure remains sound, the finish exhibits significant age-appropriate wear and surface abrasions, making it an ideal candidate for professional restoration.
