This Capel ‘La Salle’ area rug features a hand-knotted 100% wool pile on a cotton foundation, produced in India circa 1991. The design showcases a rich burgundy rectangular field framed by a dense floral border of multi-colored roses and botanical elements in shades of pink, tan, and teal. A thin navy blue guard border separates the central field from the ornate perimeter. The rug retains its original manufacturer’s labels and Woolmark certification, along with embossed leather corner protectors on the reverse. Measuring approximately 3’3’ x 5’6’, the piece is finished with a short cream-colored fringe at the transverse ends.
