Federal Style Mahogany Tripod Candlestand, 20th Century
Item Details
This Federal Style Mahogany Tripod Candle Stand features a circular mahogany top supported by a slender, tapered columnar pedestal. The lower portion of the column is accented with a gadrooned bulb, resting upon three graceful out-swept spider legs that end in tight scroll feet. The underside reveals a circular support block and a reddish-brown stain over secondary wood, consistent with mid-20th-century American craftsmanship. This mahogany occasional table serves as a functional accent piece, reflecting the elegant proportions of early American furniture design.
