Seven-Piece Federal Style Inlaid Mahogany Dining Suite, Mid to Late 20th Century
Item Details
This Federal Style dining suite, produced in the late 20th century, consists of a round-to-oval mahogany dining table and six coordinating chairs. The table features a crossbanded apron detailed with lightwood stringing, supported by tapered square legs that terminate in brass-capped ball casters. The seating includes two armchairs and four side chairs, all exhibiting a refined Federal aesthetic. The chair backs are characterized by a central ‘vase’ splat accented by delicate lightwood inlay, framed within a square-shoulder backrest. Each chair is upholstered in a pink-toned geometric patterned fabric and stands on tapered legs. This suite represents a high-caliber revival of 18th-century American neoclassical design, combining formal elegance with the structural durability of modern construction.
