Ferguson Brothers Federal Style Mahogany and Glass Nesting Tables, Circa 1930
Item Details
This set of two mahogany nesting tables was produced by the Ferguson Brothers Manufacturing Company of Hoboken, New Jersey, during the 1930s. Each table features a classic Federal Revival silhouette with slender tapered legs and an ogee-molded frame. The tabletops are fitted with inset glass panels, a practical feature popularized during the Depression era for ease of maintenance. The nesting mechanism allows the smaller unit to be stored completely within the footprint of the larger table. This set retains its original manufacturer’s label on the underside, identifying it as model No. 34X.
